Gene Luen Yang has issued a challenge and I am excited to participate.  Geared towards young readers, Reading Without Walls challenges them to step out of their comfort zone for one month – April.

There are three parts to this challenge:

  1. Read a book about a character who doesn’t look like you or live like you.
  2. Read a book about a topic you don’t know much about.
  3. Read a book in a format that you don’t normally read for fun.

This challenge fits perfectly into my yearly goals since my plan was to read some books that stretched me out of my world.  Not sure what I am going to pick.

I challenge you to join me.  You have a full month to plan.  For more information and a fun activity guide go to Reading Without Walls.
